Since 1981, JDB Engineering (JDBE) has been providing innovative, sustainable design. Our practice has always been geared toward developing creative, energy-efficient solutions that look into the life cycle costs of a given system or product. JDBE’s “whole building” approach is driven by a team of detail-oriented, experienced engineers. Today, our mission is to provide integrated, client-driven consulting, engineering, and design solutions to help our market partners solve problems and become more successful. We strive to be innovative thinkers, and our practice is staffed with a team of professionals dedicated to thinking outside of the box and beyond the engineering tables.
Integrated Engineering Services
Over the past 30 years, JDB Engineering has grown from a sole proprietorship offering mechanical engineering to a mid-size, multi-office company offering a one-stop shop for engineering services. We’ve always striven to be on the forefront of technology – we were early adapters of computer-aided design and drafting and today are regional leaders in 3D design and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Our integrated services include mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, lighting, structural, civil, process, and industrial engineering as well as sustainable (green / LEED) design and consulting, technology design, and systems commissioning.
Sustaining the Natural Environment
Engineering the built environment to sustain the natural environment. This is not just our motto; it is our approach to providing integrated consulting and engineering solutions. From providing a sustainable approach on each and every project to working through the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) program, JDB Engineering is committed to making environmentally-friendly choices. Our in-house Green Building Committee was formed in 2001 and our staff includes several LEED Accredited Professionals. We also have adopted Sustainability Principles, which guide our actions on a daily basis – not just for design, but for reducing our own carbon footprint at the office and beyond.
